I hope that this discussion has kept Gime Me , who started the thread, amused. I would like to see what his view is, or if any efforts on behalf of the contributors has helped him in the amount of time we need to give him. I think he has had or needs a lot more than a little time, and have the comments shown him that time does exsist and that a little time should be measured at the quantum level.

Viviane - " E=mc^2 doesn't have function for time in it." I have to agree with prologos I'm afraid he is correct, and you are not.

E is measured in distance in m, mass in kg and accelaration in m/s^2, giving m kg m/s^2 and this equals m mass in kg, times the speed of light squared in m^2/s^2. As you can see time in seconds appears as 1/s^2 on both sides of the equation. It is very time dependant and therefore a function of time.

What "massless particle", the mass (m) of a photon is dependant on it's energy (E) divided by it's wavelength(v) times frequency(lamda) squared or in other words E=mc^2 as above.

so i was watching shark week a little while ago and i got to the episode on prehistoric sharks.

they, of course, discussed megalodon, but they also talked about other sharks that were vicious, precise hunters.

then i started thinking about other prehistoric creatures..... t-rex, raptors, etc...... all vicious animals.

DD - As regards the weight to lift ratio it will be proportional to the square of the terminal flying velocity, and therefore I would like to ask if you know if the swallows/ swifts were african or european because there is a considerable difference as I am sure you are aware?

Prologos- Your comment is valid if the swallow/swift is in a newtonian fluid, and if the particle density of the atmosphere had not made non newtonian. As I am sure you are aware the fluid would not then be operating with stokes regieme and your assertion would fail, we most consider all possibilities.

i was told by jw's that angels came down to earth before the flood, and had children with women.. i have a question about this and would like the sort of answer a jw would give so that i can be ready for them when they come to my door.. if one third of god's angelic staff were banished to earth, are they doing this now?.

if not, what is stopping them?.

if so, where are all these half angel children?.

jgnat - Hope your well, and I agree with you re the collection of books in the bible. There is an amount of cohesion within the OT due to the redaction of older texts post exile. The overall theme that runs throughout is the atemp to create a history and a feeling of total society in order that the Jews could regain some amount of self governance with out a monarchy at its head, and therefore survive the Babylonian, Persian, Greek, Selucid, and Roman ocupations of the old joint kingdom. It is however very Judean centred.

AP - I think the logic for the JW view comes from 1Peter 3:18 20,

"Why, even Chirst died once for all time concerning sin, a righteous (person) for an unrighteous ones, that he might lead you to God, he being put to death in the flesh, but beingmade alive in the spirit. 19 In this (state) also he went his way and preachedto the spirits in prison, 20. who had once been disobedient whenthe patience of God was waitingin Noah's day, while the ark was being constructed, .......water."

This seems to be the scripture that they must take their position from and to be fair I think it has merit, although it only deals with the period between Jesus dying and his resurrection. It is evident though that Jesus was in physical form between resurrection and acension which account for the missing body. His physical form only needs to dematerialize during his acension does it not?

AP _ That is the problem the angels that were sent to earth with Satan were only Rev 12:9 "Hurled". We can asume from the statement in revalation that is quite detailed that the ability not to do anything that they could not whilst in heaven was imposed, only that Rev 12:8 "neither was a place found for them any longer in heaven."

I take it that the dense spiritual darkness of Tartarus must be in heaven, although something about a well south of Babylon and they were sealed in there, and therefore the demons/ angels from preflood are still under lock and key in heaven. Therefore it was Big J's intention to cause problems on the earth when he could have just locked this lot up with the previous retrobates.

AP - Daniel 10:10 "And look! there was a hand that touched me," NWT.

The problem here is that Coraline is talking about the angels of Satan sent to earth with Satan in ( or is it around these days) 1914 were evidently as capable of materializing as all the other, the NWT does not state they are not. These presumed facts from silence work both ways.

It is not surprising that any JW would not have read Daniel 10;10 or questioned it's implicacation as they are also think this angel doing the touching is Gabriel which the WTBS prove it is not themselves but never changed the header in the old NWT, and are far more concerned with the actions of Michael. I don't know what the new one says, despite many request they won't give me one! I can't think why, it is a true mystery.
